These terms apply when you use danitex: danitex Prep, Schools, Results and Exams, at danitex.org and at any school's danitex address. Using danitex means you accept them.
The service
danitex provides software for exams, exam practice, school records and results. danitex is a software provider: it does not run schools, set or award grades, or issue qualifications. Results, grades and remarks on danitex are the school's.
danitex is free for now. When fees are introduced, schools will be told in advance and the fees will be agreed with each school; learners using danitex Prep on their own will be told before any charge applies.
Accounts
- Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what is done with your account.
- Give true details. A learner under 18 needs a parent or guardian's permission to open their own account.
- Schools may create and manage accounts for their staff, students and parents and decide what each can see.
Fair use
Do not:
- cheat in an exam, share exam content or PINs, or help anyone else do so;
- try to see data that isn't yours or your school's, get round security, or disrupt the service;
- copy the question bank in bulk, or scrape or resell danitex content;
- upload anything unlawful, or anything you have no right to use.
danitex may suspend an account that breaks these rules, and will tell the school concerned.
Schools
A school using danitex is responsible for the records it enters, for having the right to enter its students' data (including parents' consent where needed), and for approving its results before release. danitex processes that data on the school's instructions, as described in the privacy policy. A school can leave at any time and take a copy of its records.
Content
Questions, explanations and readings on danitex belong to danitex or are used with permission. Past exam questions remain the property of their examining bodies and are used for study. A school keeps the rights to what it uploads (its crest, documents and records) and lets danitex use them only to run the school's service.
Availability and liability
danitex is built to be reliable and keeps backups, but cannot promise the service will never be interrupted. For an exam, schools should have a fallback plan agreed with danitex in advance. To the extent the law allows, danitex is not liable for indirect losses, and its liability is limited to what a school has paid danitex in the previous 12 months, or ₦50,000 where nothing has been paid. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes and law
danitex may update these terms; schools and account holders will be told by email before significant changes apply. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
