Privacy policy
danitex runs exam practice, school exams, school records and results. This page explains what information danitex keeps, why, and what you can do about it.
Information we collect and why
- Your account: name, email address and sign-in times, to sign you in and keep your account safe.
- School records, when your school uses danitex: class, admission number, attendance, scores, remarks and report cards. Your school decides what goes in, and it owns these records.
- Exams and practice: your answers, scores and timings, to mark them and show your progress.
- Technical logs: IP address, browser and request times, to keep danitex secure and fix faults.
Proctored exams
If a school sets an exam with remote proctoring and you agree to it, the camera on your own device takes a small photo every minute or so, plus a few more when something looks wrong (no face, or someone else in view). Nothing is analysed outside your device, and there is no video. Only the school's exam staff can see the photos, and they are deleted automatically after the time the school sets (30 days unless it chooses otherwise, never more than 90). You are told this period before you agree.
School records
Released results are kept exactly as released, so a report card always says the same thing. A correction is saved as a new version. Questions about school records go to your school first; danitex will help it answer.
Sharing
danitex does not sell personal information or show advertising. It uses a few service providers to run: netcup (the server, in Germany), Cloudflare (security, images and videos) and SMTP2GO (emails). Sign-in runs on danitex's own server. danitex shares information beyond this only when the law requires it.
Security
Everything is sent encrypted, and backups are encrypted too. Only people your school authorises, and danitex staff who need to, can see your information. Every change to results is recorded. No system is perfectly secure, but danitex will tell you and your school quickly if your data is affected by a breach.
Keeping, correcting and deleting
You can correct your details or delete your own account at any time. School records are kept while the school uses danitex, and are returned or deleted within 90 days after it leaves. Backups are overwritten within 90 days.
Cookies
danitex uses only a sign-in cookie and your browser's storage to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
